Seven Bars In Dublin You Must Try Before The Year Is Out

There is absolutely no shortage of new places open in Dublin (the boom is back, baby) and you’ll hear no complaints from me. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed checking out these spots and seeing what they had to offer.

Overall, I have been really impressed at the standard and here are a few deffo worth visiting before the year is out:

1. Café En Seine

Of course, being a well known name in Dublin, this isn’t brand new but after being closed down for a couple of years, Cafe En Seine came back with bang last month.

I don’t remember being impressed by a bar like this in a long time; maybe in Paris or Monaco which is the vibe you get from the minute you walk in.

2. The Devlin

Another big name opened in the busy Rathmines area and it did not disappoint. Much like its sister bars, Sophie’s and Angelinas, you get such a suave vibe as soon as you enter on the ground floor, with similar styles such as neon lights and classy armchairs.

You can also head up to the third floor for dinner or drinks at the rooftop bar. On top of all this, they’ve managed to squeeze a Stella theatre in the basement - dream!

3. Wild Duck

Newest spot to hit the bustling Temple Bar area. Heavily decorated in a quirky way, it’s definitely worth a visit and definitely a good idea for food and drinks before a gig in the Olympia.

4. Isabelle’s

This beauty opened up in the centre of the city, just off Grafton Street and is getting rave reviews.

It’s a great place for food but the cocktail menu is definitely worth exploring, being made very special by putting their own twists on each drink.

5. The Ivy

This highly anticipated spot opened its doors earlier in the year. The Ivy in London has been around for decades and we were very much looking forward to having our own.

It did not disappoint but being located on Dawson Street, it will hold major competition with the likes of Café En Seine and 37s.

6. Crow Street

Another name added to Temple Bar was Crow Street. It’s definitely a touch of class with its fine menu which includes the mouth watering Buttermilk Chicken burger with chipotle aoli… unreal.

They also do some a fine brunch which can be accompanied by a bottomless brunch… Oh Yeah.

7. Hucks

This lovely little place is joining a long list on Camden Street but is definitely holding its own since opening up in early November. They’ve got a long list of beers and top class cocktails to compliment their New York style pizzas.

Plenty of places have opened up this year and they’re ready for you to jump in this festive season.
