Last night, on the eve of St Patrick’s Day, we held our first Whiskey and Craft Beer/Cider Experience in the Bourbon Bar in the Odeon.
The aim of the night was to provide people with an interactive, exclusive and intimate experience in which they could sample some of the best up and coming produce from the Irish food and beverage industry.
The night was supported by our friends from Teeling Whiskey who ensured that the spirit of Dublin was brought to life in the venue. They offered exclusive masterclasses where patrons were given a history lesson about distilling in Dublin, before being educated on how to appreciate a fine whiskey and the opportunity to sample the Teeling small-batch, single-grain and single-malt lines.
Vanguard Beer Collective were on hand providing background to the brewing culture in Ireland and what gave them the motivation to begin brewing craft beer and cider. Samples of their Reel Deel Craft Beer and Tempted Cider range were available, and their strawberry cider won over many hearts.
A trendy new start-up based in Wicklow called Black Castle Drinks were on hand providing a non-alcoholic option – They provide a range of high end, naturally made soft drinks in flavours that you’ve never experienced before. And all this was complemented by a range of luxurious cheese and snacks provided by The Little Milk Co and Keoghs Farm Crisps.
We hope everyone that was lucky enough to get tickets had a great night and for those of you who missed out, we’ll see you at the next one.
