This 92-Year-Old Dublin Man’s Life Advice Is Exactly What You Need To Hear Today

Sarah

Humans of Dublin, the wonderful project and movement by photographer Peter Varga, offers us an insight into the lives of Dublin city strangers, normal people who we would see on the bus or on the street.

People who we would usually pass by without a second thought of what might be happening in their lives.

There’s been sad tales, funny memories, and local history all recalled in some of the incredible previous photo posts, but the one this morning of a 92-year-old man and his life motto has us all so inspired to live our best lives.

The man in the photo, Nicky Cornish, has apparently taught “generations of families” in South Dublin how to swim, with many of the comments on the Facebook post mentioning happy memories of being taught by him.

Amazing – we’re definitely going to keep his advice in mind: “You can’t give up on yourself before life does.” <3
