6 Craic-Filled Things To Do In Dublin Tonight To Beat The Monday Blues

AmyBell

With the weekend sadly being over, the blues are well and truly setting in as we all get back into our weekly routine.

Sigh.

If you’re looking to do something after work this evening to get your week off to a good start, these are the places and events you need to check out.

1.The Comedy Crunch

A good comedy show is always a great way to put yourself in a good mood.

There’s nothing better than having a few laughs and drinks until your belly hurts.

The Comedy Crunch in The Stag’s Head takes place every Monday night and best yet it’s all for free.

And there is an added bonus of free ice cream.

What more could you want?

It takes place downstairs with doors opening at 8.15pm and the show starts at 9pm and always has a stellar line up.

Some of tonight’s acts include the hiliarious Jim Elliott alongside Republic of Telly and Bridget & Eamon star, Edwin Sammon and many more. The comedy night will be hosted by Danny O’ Brien.

We’ll see you there!

2. The Bowery’s Oktoberfest

The classic spot in Rathmines is having their very own Oktoberfest this week and it sounds amazing.

If you’re looking for some live music, German brew and a BBQ, The Bowery is the place to be.

They kick off their busy Oktoberfest week today from 4pm and it’s free to attend.

Yes!

Lisa Canny will be performing from 5pm tonight.

It’s time to let loose and have a little bop. You deserve it.

3. Father Ted pub quiz, Doyle’s

Everyone in Ireland loves a bit of Father Ted.

Ah go on…admit it.

If you want to put your years of knowledge to the test, Doyle’s pub is the place to be because there’s a Father Ted pub quiz on tonight.

Casterly Rock Productions are hosting the event and there is even a screening after the quiz.

For more information on how to book your team of 5 in for €20, you can check out the event here.

It sounds unreal.

4. See Zodiac in 35mm in The Lighthouse Cinema

We all love a trip to the cinema to see a movie on the big screen and munch on some popcorn.

Nothing quite beats it.

Well, Light House Cinema are showing the classic 2007 film, Zodiac, in 35mm tonight at 6pm.

The David Fincher modern thriller follows the story of the infamous Zodiac killer and the San Francisco Chronicle.

Plus, Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Jr. are in it.

We want to see it again!

5. Dine and play games in Token

If you’re a fan of arcade games and want to go for a bite to eat with your friends or significant other half, Token is the place to be tonight.

The Smithfield arcade and restaurant has been a massive hit since it opened its doors in the summer.

They also do an amazing deal on Monday and Tuesdays where you can get yourself any main, any regular side, any pint and a sack of 10 tokens for just €19.95.

The food is delicious so it’s a serious bargain.

6. If all else fails…there’s Netflix

If you just want to stay in a chill after work and save a bit of money, there’s always the reliable Netflix.

There’s been a lot of new releases too so there could be something worth checking out.

I’m in the middle of American Vandal at the minute and I’m hooked.

A glass of wine and a bit of microwave popcorn and you’re sorted for a cozy night in.

Will you do any of these?
