Drop-in classes are a great way to test the waters, see if you really like something, and kick start some endorphins int'ya in the process.
Dublin is absolutely overflowing with deadly drop-in fitness classes, and so many of them you can pay-as-you-go.
So no pressure, no time-restraints and no more excuses. Deadly.
1. Boxing Class – Underdog Boxing
The boxing class everyone wants a piece of. In here you can try out everything from HIIT to Metabolic Conditioning, training with real boxers, in an easy access location.
Their drop in classes are €19, and definitely worth it. You will come out drenched with sweat, and feeling great.
This animalistic work-out is internationally famous for being good fun, a full-body work-out, and a little bit mad. It's on every Sunday in March from 12:30-1:30pm.
The fee is €17 for a drop-in class, or €60 for four classes. Which seems steep, but it's totally worth it.
You can choose from either a Single Lunch Pass for €10, or Single Class Pass for €17. And for when you become hooked, they have some deadly rates to keep you going back.
6. Solo Jumping – Jumpzone
The most fun workout of the lot.
Jumpzone, located out in Sandyford, is priced at either €11 or €12 per hour, depending on peak times, and is a guaranteed hour of unbelievable fun.
7. Spin Class - Andy Kenny, Unit 31, Trinity Enterprise Centre Pearse Street Dublin 2
Maybe the cheapest in town, with spin classes for the low, low price of €4.
The good thing about here is that classes range from 20min for beginners to 90min advanced classes, so andy has something to suit everyone. These classes are also either pay as you go, starting from €4 or you can become a gym member.
8. Insanity Fitzone, Palmerstown
This gym in Palmerstown offers pay as you go prices of €6 – €10 per class.
You can book classes online or on their app (I know, trendy) and choose from more cardio focused options like ‘Insanity Intervals’ or ‘Circuits’ to the pure strength ‘IFZ Strength’ class. It also has a community feel, so it's seriously good vibes in here.

Dublin is glutted with literary magazines. They’re ten a penny; if today’s penny is actually €15 each. In 2017 Justine Carbery wrote in The Irish Independent “literary journals proved to be constant stars in a fluctuating market. Ireland, with its rich history of independent literary magazines, finds itself in rude health today with many new […]
(and Always) It’s never been more vital to support Queer-Owned Spaces in Dublin. Put your money where your morals are as often as you can. As someone who has worked in hospitality, I know that the people who run our bars, restaurants, and cafés shape the atmosphere more than the decor or the playlist ever […]
