A Huge Raft Race Is Taking Place In Grand Canal Dock For A Great Cause

Alana Laverty

If you’re gazing out the office window at the sunshine today and longing for some fun in the sun then look no further.

Homeless charity, Depaul, is hosting its annual Raft Race in Grand Canal Dock on Saturday, September 16.

Leaving suits and ties behind, 30 corporate teams will be taking to the water, powering their rafts around a course in Grand Canal Dock in a series of 500m races.

So gather your coworkers, bosses and accountants – because it’s time to get paddling.

The entry fee for the Raft Race is €400 per team of four in the biggest fundraising event of the year for Depaul.

A very worthy cause.

The event promises to be a great day out in the heart of the city, with entertainment for adults and kids alike including a DJ, face painting, food and prizes in a festive atmosphere for colleagues, supporters and family.

It’s all kicking off from 11am and you can sign up to take part here
