Eight Stories, a creative collective campaigning to Repeal the Eighth Amendment, are organising the Gals Gig for Repeal II, an evening of music, spoken word, comedy, and art led by some of the best Irish female talent anyone could ask for.

The event will be a fundraiser for the Abortion Support Network, happening on April 7 in the loft space of the Grand Social.

The lineup includes Orla Gartland, Girlfriend, Maija Sofia, Melina Malone, Ruth Mac, Clara Rose Thornton, Laura Byrne, and the night will be MC’d by powerhouse of the Repeal Project, Anna Cosgrave.

Proceeds will be going to the Abortion Support Network, who provide financial assistance and accommodation to Irish women seeking abortions in the UK.

And even though the line-up is made of only women, all and any gender is allowed to join them on the day. The idea is to create an atmosphere of solidarity and empowerment, inclusive of any gender, class, race or orientation.

Interested? Of course you are. Check out their Facebook page for more details on the night itself – which is 100% set to be a hoot.
