Doughnut Chain Aungier Danger Allegedly Heading For Liquidation

Darragh Berry

The Journal is reporting that Dublin’s doughnut giants Aungier Danger are heading for liquidation after being issued a notice.

Their store on George’s Street has been closed for a while another shop on Merrion Row shut down shortly after it was opened in late 2017.

The company’s founder has told the publication that the business is “not going anywhere” and stated that he would be selling his doughnuts at Forbidden Fruit Festival this weekend which they were.

Aungier Danger was opened on Aungier Street in 2015 and not long after it opened, a second store down the road on George’s Street was founded.

The queues outside the Merrion Row shop when it opened in October were just absolutely insane.

They also announced in April that they were now on Deliveroo meaning it couldn’t be easier to get gooey treats delivered to your home or office.

Lovin Dublin has reached out to founder Phil Costello for a comment.
