There is no love greater than our love of pasta.

And while we're pretty proud of what we can whip up at home - it's fresh pasta that's the true winner here.

I crave pasta from Il Vicoletto all day, all night and can honestly say it's some of the best pasta I have ever eaten in my life.
And I've eaten a lot of pasta.
They have spent years perfecting their pasta recipe, they first opened their doors in the 90's, and are extremely proud of the finished result - which I tried to squeeze out of them, but is top secret.
Their pappardelle is like silk and I could genuinely eat bucketfuls of it.

If you've ever stood at Ranelagh Luas stop in the evenings, or even strolled passed it at street level, then you've probably noticed a beautiful smell of garlicky seafood - it's unmistakable.
The steam from Pinnochio's kitchen wafts out and fills the surrounding air and streets with one of the most heavenly smells ever.
Fresh mussels, calamari, prawns, clams and squid - all cooked to order in numerous pasta dishes.
They also have a second location on Essex Street, Temple Bar.
This tiny Italian restaurant serves some of the most authentic Italian food you'll find in Dublin - hidden away in a basement that you could easily miss.
The two guys running it are experts at what they do and will recommend you something divine every time.
Their fresh pasta is phenomenal.
If you haven't tried their ravioli del plin DO IT. Their black truffle pasta is so delicate and tasty that they feel like little pillows in your mouth
We wish we could eat here every day. But our wallets just won't allow it.
We are HUGE fans of Da Mimmo and once crowned their grub as some of the best Italian in Dublin.
The staff here are amazing, and will alter anything to your liking.
And their pasta is the stuff of dreams.
We're drooling just thinking about it.
Best part? Nothing here will break the bank - all dishes priced super reasonably.
You've probably passed this place before and never even noticed it.
But it is a total gem and Temple Bar's best kept secret.
The kind of place you leave glowing and cherish forever. Like, you wanna tell everyone about it - but at the same time, nobody.
Restaurant manager, Luca will knock your socks off and provide you with an unparalleled dining experience.
And as for the pasta? Soft, silky and cooked to perfection in sauces you couldn't even imagine.
Our Kate Demolder is head over heels in love with I Monelli. She considers it the best Italian restaurant in Dublin right now.
If she could marry a restaurant, it'd be this little spot on Portobello Road.
The folks behind I Monelli are about as passionate about food as you will find in Dublin.
You'll go here once and wanna return again, and again, and again. Sorry, not sorry.
This Skerries cafe offer up one hell of an Italian experience.
Using only the best quality ingredients possible, they create unique and special dishes day in, day out.
However, the chances of you stumbling across this place unintentionally are pretty slim - it's about 30km outside of the city centre, off a side street.
So plan your day trip now and head out at the weekend to get your fill of fresh pasta.
