Reports that have emerged online are stating that Dublin Airport was evacuated on Tuesday evening.

People took to Social Media to express their worry and confusion as they were asked to make their way out of the gate area.

The alarm went off in the gate area of Terminal Two and some passengers had to move to the departure lounge.

In a statement, Dublin Airport said that the terminal is back to normal and that:

"There was an alarm activation in 400 boarding gate area.

“Passengers were evacuated as a precaution to the departure lounge in Terminal Two.

“The alarm has now been stood down and passengers are returning to the boarding gate area in question.”
