Dubliners Are Talking About These Leaflets Left On Their Dublin Bus Stop Poles

Darragh Berry

We know it’s Friday and you’re probably on auto-pilot as you try and get through the final few hours of work.

But, if you got the bus in this morning, did you manage to wake up long enough to stop these leaflets attached to the yellow Dublin Bus poles.

They are about the proposed BusConnects Routes which has caused major controversy since the idea first came about.

These leaflets state that some routes may be removed in order to make way for new ‘BusConnect’ Transport plans.

Some have already sent an email voicing their dissatisfaction with the proposed new service and have urged other to do the same if their route is affected.

If you see these flyers, it’s important to give them a quick read to see if your route is affected, there may also be a meeting held in your local area regarding the matter.

However, it’s also worth reading how the proposed BusConnects network will affect existing Dublin Bus routes.

The existing system has been described as “complex” and this new proposed network is “much simpler” but will take lots of time to learn.

The new proposed routes will hope to make your overall journey quicker with no added cost.
