VIDEO: Shocking Footage Revealed Of ‘Unprecedented And Terrifying’ DART Attack

Darragh Berry

Gardaí are investigating an incident that happened on a DART at Clongriffin Station in North Dublin late on Tuesday.

Footage of the attack has now been released on Social Media and shows a group of people walking in and out of the DART armed with what looks to be the alleged pieces of wood.

Thousands of euro worth of damage was caused to the train at the station when a gang of up to 20 people, all wearing balaclavas stormed the DART armed with 2×4 blocks of woods.

Lovin received permission for the video from Stephen Curtis who filmed the whole ordeal on his phone.

The video had been commented underneath an image of the damaged DART with the statement:

“Welcome to Clongriffin where 20 absolute filth balls stop a train and proceed to spray paint the entire carriage for a good 15 minutes interrupted. This shit needs to stop”

One person who was on that exact train stated that:

“[It] Wasn’t great. A few of us had to wrestle one of the lads off who was holding the doors open to stop it moving,” before adding that allegedly “a lad swung at us with a 2×4. Only found out when the gardai arrived that they had knives as well.

Irish Senator for Dublin Bay North, Aodhán Ó Ríordáin, was tagged in the video and told Stephen to email as much detail as possible and that the matter would be raised immediately with the Gardaí and Irish Rail.
