Dublin Fire Brigade's water rescue team have just saved someone from The Liffey.

Crews arrived on the scene near Burgh Quay just before 5pm after reports of a person in the water between O'Connell Bridge and Rosie Hackett Bridge.

Members of the water rescue unit and swimmers managed to rescue the person from the Liffey.

The person was hospitalised and their current condition is unknown.

Burgh Quay was temporarily blocked as emergency services dealt with the incident.

It has since reopened.

Well done to all involved in this rescue.
