Dublin rental prices are now almost 23% higher than their previous peak in 2008 according to latest Daft.ie quarterly report.
The average cost of renting in the capital up to September 2017 is €1,774 which is €330 a month more that nine years ago, or an increase of €4,000 year.
Since last year, the cost of renting in Dublin has shot up 12.3%. The below infographic depicts rental prices for each area of the city.
In Dublin, there were just 1,300 homes available to rent this quarter, compared with more than 6,700 on the same date in 2009. You can view the full report by clicking here.
