If you're a bit confused by that header image and headline, don't worry - you haven't fallen into a four-month coma.
The presence of Easter Eggs in December is simply a Christmas tradition undertaken by JC's Supermarket in Swords and a noble one at that, if you don't mind us saying so.
It all started a few years back when the store ordered some festive selection boxes and were instead delivered the eggs by accident. Making the best of a daft situation, JC's decided they might as well sell them and sure enough they flew off the shelves.
The tradition has been carried on ever since and sure, chocolate's chocolate, isn't that right? Still, fairly bad form that it's not even Jesus' birthday yet and people are already looking ahead to his demise.
The eggs in the picture are priced at €5.99 which isn't bad at all considering they'll be a lot more expensive elsewhere in the springtime. Fair play to JC's for carrying out our new famous Christmas tradition.
