Five Much-Loved Dublin Sunday Markets Have Been Ordered To Close

James Fenton

Five Sunday markets housed at Newmarket Square in Dublin 8 have been given notice to leave the Green Door Premises effective from June 12.

Dublin Flea Market, The Brocante, Fusion Sundays – World Culture Market, Newmarket Collective and The Pure Vintage Fair are looking for new homes and the first stages of demolition and redevelopment of the existing units will take place soon after the above date.

Some of the markets took to Instagram to share the sad news with Dublin Flea Market saying ‘currently the future of the five Sunday markets is uncertain until a new home has been found, however, all five markets have joined together in the search for a new city centre location.’

If you or anyone you know can help save these much-loved markets, you are invited to get in touch at [email protected].
