It’s been a grim few days in the capital weather-wise but sadly it looks like things are going to stay that way a little bit longer before they get better.
There were plenty of videos and pictures showing the snow that fell around the country today and Dublin was fairly freezing, too.
Met Éireann has now confirmed that more cold weather is on the way with temperatures expected to plummet as low as 3°C tonight, and the possibility of thunder as well.
It’s slightly warmer than the rest of the country though – some parts are expected to drop as low as 0°C tonight.
Cold overnight with a mix of clear spells&rain or hail showers, most of the showers will affect southern&eastern coastal counties. Overnight lows of 0 to 4°C, with a patchy frost developing under clear spells. Moderate southeast to east winds will freshen in places later tonight. pic.twitter.com/OyyAGnNgg3

They said, “Tonight will be cold with some further showers, heavy for a time with a risk of thunder. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 5 degrees.
“Tomorrow, Thursday will be a bright day with sunny spells and occasional showers. Cold with highest temperatures of 7 to 8 degrees in a moderate easterly wind.”
Thankfully, they added that the likelihood of more snow is unlikely at the moment and we can look forward to slightly better weather coming our way soon.
