Dublin’s Bagged Itself A Brand New Food Festival

A brand new food festival is gracing Dublin with its presence this summer, as has been confirmed by South Dublin County Council (SDCC).

The new festival, entitled Flavours of South Dublin will be held in Rathfarnham Castle Park on Sunday, June 25.

The main objective of the festival is to bring together restaurants and gastronomes of the area to one place in order to celebrate the diversity that Dublin's eateries have to offer. 

According to SDCC: 

“The Flavours of South Dublin Food Festival will showcase South Dublin County cuisine from the traditional fish and chips to the Asian fusion and everything in between. South Dublin County Council aims to highlight the diverse and vibrant food culture that exists in the county.''

“It is a great opportunity to taste the wide variety of food that the county has to offer and bring together all migrant communities living here. There will also be a display of all cultural elements of the migrant and local communities living in South Dublin.”

According to Dublin Live, more of the festival's details will be confirmed closer to the time, following meetings of the social and community SPC.
