It’s Official – These Are The Best Restaurants In Dublin

We’re very lucky in Dublin to have such a vibrant and diverse food scene in and the best of the bunch were celebrated at a special ceremony last night.

The Irish Restaurant Awards took place at the Clayton Hotel, with Chapter One being named as the best restaurant in Ireland.

Several other Dublin spots were also hailed on the night, including The Saddle Room at The Shelbourne Hotel – which was named Best Hotel Restaurant.

Forest & Marcy on Leeson Street won the Best Newcomer award for Dublin and also came out on top in the same category for All Ireland, while Ciaran Sweeney was named Best Chef.

The Exchequer won Best Gastropub on the night, with popular haunt The Long Hall named Pub Of The Year.

Chapter One continued its winning streak by claiming the Best Customer Service award, while Etto walked away with the Best Casual Dining and Best Wine Experience awards.

Farmhill Café and Restaurant were commended for their children’s offering, with Meet Me in the Morning on Pleasant Street taking the honours in the Best Café category.

There were also wins for Fish Shop Queen St (Best Seafood Experience) and the Candlelight Bar at Siam Thai Dundrum (Best Cocktail Experience).

Brid & Colm Carter of Honest2Goodness were named Local Food Heroes, while John Healy of Suesey Street won the Best Restaurant Manager award.
