Enda Kenny Set To Meet Theresa May In Dublin Later Today

Taoiseach Enda Kenny will be meeting with Theresa May as she visits Dublin later today. The political leaders with be discussing Brexit, its implications for Ireland and follow on topics based around the aforementioned. 

This is the British Prime Minister’s first visit to Dublin as a political entity. The visit is a follow on from Enda Kenny’s visit to Downing Street last year.

The pair have discussed the crisis in Northern Ireland in recent weeks, and that topic will be further discussed today. This, however, will be the first time the two have chatted since May has confirmed her desire for a hard Brexit. 

According to Breaking News, it’s being reported that the main focus of their talks will be how they can maintain the common travel area, not return to a hard border between North and South with the UK outside the single market, customs union and curbing immigration.
