PICS: The Interior Of This €490k Phibsborough Home Will Pleasantly Surprise You

Alana Laverty

This two bedroom redbrick house in Phibsborough can only be described as charmingly quirky.

Number 2 Orchard Terrace on Upper Grangegorman Road is currently going for a tidy €490,000.

The design of the house is inconsistent and quite contrasting as you move throughout, but it’s kind of comforting at the same time.

The most interesting part? The enormous upstairs bathroom that takes up the entire top floor of the house, accessed via a spiral staircase.

Not the most practical for when you’ve been out on the lash all night, but definitely a cool feature.

Moving downstairs you’ll find the bedrooms. Nothing particularly outrageous about them but they do look really cosy and I’d happily rest my head here.

And down again to the bottom floor we have the sitting room, dining room and kitchen.

Whoever lived here previously certainly loved the colour red.

There’s also a study/possible third bedroom in the house.

And the backyard is pretty dece too. Imagine crackin’ open a few Coronas out there during summer. Can think of worse things to be doing for sure.

There really is more to this place than first meets the eye.

It doesn’t look that big on the outside but seems massive on the inside. To cliché even further: never judge a book by it’s cover, eh?

The BER rating for this house is D1. Not great but not terrible.

Other features to note:

  • Gas fired central heating
  • TV and telephone points
  • Alarm
  • Retains many original features throughout
  • Stylish decor
