International Women's Day is this coming Wednesday, March 8.
And to mark this monumental day, the Coalition to Repeal the Eighth Amendment and supporters are marching to demand that the Irish Government set a date for a referendum to repeal the Eighth Amendment.
March4Repeal will begin Wednesday evening and supporters are invited to assemble at the Garden of Remembrance from 5.30pm.
A 'Bus 4 Repeal' set out from Dublin today to tour the country campaigning for an immediate repealing of the eight amendment.
It will stop in Waterford, Cork, Limerick, Kildare and Galway before returning to Dublin on Wednesday for the march.

“International Women’s Day celebrates the history of women fighting for economic, political and reproductive rights, and we are continuing this fight. In Ireland, women are no longer prepared to wait patiently on the sidelines while “experts” and politicians debate our human right to personal and bodily autonomy. We will not sit by as they decide what rights and freedoms we should have over our own bodies, our lives, and our futures.
It’s over a year since the last General Election and despite all the promises and commitments, we are no closer to a referendum date. Recent polls further strengthen our view that Irish people want the issue of abortion dealt with. The delay cannot be permitted to continue, and on Wednesday, we’ll be marching to demand that a date is named for a referendum.”

Strike 4 Repeal is also set to take place this Wednesday, if the Irish Government hasn't called for a referendum to repeal the Eighth Amendment by then.
In Dublin, supporters will meet on O'Connell Bridge from 12:30pm to strike.
"This strike is based on non-traditional strike actions for human rights that we have witnessed in other parts of the world. In October of last year, thousands of people in more than 60 cities in Poland went on strike to protect their access to abortion, and won."
Nationally strikes are also set to take place in Belfast, Cork, Galway, Kerry, Kilkenny, Limerick, Mayo, Ashbourne, Navan and Sligo.
Students from NCAD, DCU, DIT, TCD, NUIG, UCD, IADT and Royal Holloway in London will be staging walk-outs and striking too.
And further afield strikes in New York, Berlin, Manchester, London, Glasgow, Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, Buenos Aires and Aberdeen will also be taking place.
