You may have spotted that taxis in the city, as of the past few weeks, have been sporting a new sticker on their doors.
The sticker refers to their transition from Hailo – mytaxi, and while that process has been ongoing, MyTaxi is starting its first week in business today.
But, will we have to set up a new account?
Not at all. If you open up your Hailo app and simply follow the instructions, you can transfer all of your current details in a flash.
Head of Hailo’s Irish Operations, and now mytaxi General Manager, Tim Arnold has commended the transition:
“mytaxi will now be pushing to expand our 10,000-driver fleet and is already the most economical and efficient source of work for drivers.”
“E-hailing a taxi is the simplest, most convenient, safest way for passengers to travel so this is a hugely exciting development for Ireland. We’re looking forward to our customers enjoying some new app features in Ireland too, like sharing their location when on a mytaxi journey and saving their favourite drivers.”
mytaxi will provide over 10,000 drivers to Irish customers alone, while also allowing international access to over 100,000 drivers in fifty cities across Europe.
