Even though we passed the marriage equality referendum way back in May, there’s been a whole lot of paperwork to complete before the Marriage Act 2015 could be brought into legislation.
According to The Irish Times, The Minister for Justice and Equality Frances Fitzgerald signed the commencement order for the Marriage Act 2015 at Dublin Castle last Thursday night.

This means that the Marriage Act 2015 will come into effect from today, Monday 16 November.
