Poor Inniscorrig in Dalkey has been on the market for months now.
House hunters can get their hands on it now – if they happen to have €10.5 million handy.
It's a castellated mansion with its own harbour (one of only two private harbours in Dublin) and grounds that are 0.75 of an acre in size.
The place's biggest selling point is the panoramic coastal views it affords, which stretch from Dun Laoghaire over the bay to Howth peninsula, where you can see in the rocky sea shore, Dalkey Island and The Muglins.
Built in 1847 by the renowned Dublin physician Sir Dominic Corrigan as a summer retreat, the mansion has had some prominent guests included Kings Edward VII and George V of England.
The house and grounds come complete with arched granite statue niches and a series of Gothic arches, as well a 'secret garden.'
If you weren't secluded enough in your own castle
The harbour includes a working winch that's capable of lifting in a small boat, so you actually could jet ski to work if you wanted.
But just because it's old doesn't mean it looks like that on the inside, it's been restored in recent years with all the modern conveniences and fittings.
Yeah, well, bet it's a nightmare to heat
In terms of rooms, this behemoth has a large reception hall, itself leading to the stair hall, study and double drawing room. The dining room combines with the kitchen and a large Hampton conservatory, with an outdoor timber deck terrace.
There are four bedrooms and a family bathroom on the first floor, and a Master Bedroom Suite that comes complete with a bedroom, dressing room and bathroom. A fifth bedroom occupies the second floor – which is a tower.
The lower ground floor has a large family or cinema room, a home office, various storage and utility rooms and a boiler room.
From the comfort of the back yard, you can enjoy watching with dolphins, seals and numerous sea birds.
"Oh, you have a shed? That's cute, I've got an island."
Located on the periphery of Dalkey town, you can get from Inniscorrig into Dublin city centre in 30 minutes via the DART.
So if you're looking to invest that Communion money in some property, or you just wanna gawk at some ridiculous extravagance, you can find the house here.
