Nothing beats curling up with a good book.
The darker evenings and colder weather are reason enough to forgo the gym and head straight for the fireside, book and cuppa in hand.
And following on from that train of thought, I think we can all agree that Halfway Up The Stairs, has arrived not a moment too soon.
If you love Children's books and treasure our independent shops, you are in for a treat. The brave and brilliant book worm @trish_hennessy1 is opening her beautifully named 'Halfway up the Stairs' bookshop @HalfwayUpBooks in Greystones from mid October. Owned by Trish Hennessy, Greystones’ newest bookshop is housed in the La Touche Place HQ. Inside you’ll find anything and everything that celebrates children’s literature; from toys and gifts to puzzles and teddies. And of course, books of all kind.
The aim is to create a warm and inclusive environment that will appeal to all. There will even be a teenage/young adult section stocked with the most compelling titles “to keep them reading late into the night”.
Trish is currently getting things together for her first order, so expect business to get underway sometime mid-October.

Worth checking out in the run-up to Christmas if you’re in need of present ideas.
