Ever-the-organiser, IKEA seems to be miles ahead of the game, as it's their beach chairs which have been recalled from stores across the globe.
The Scandinavian furniture giant has stated on their website:
“After washing the fabric seat it is possible to re-assemble the chair incorrectly leading to risks of falls or finger entrapments. IKEA has received five incident reports in which MYSINGSÖ beach chair collapsed during use due to incorrect re-assembly.''
''All five reports included injuries to fingers and required medical attention. The reported injuries happened in Finland, Germany, USA, Denmark and Australia.''
Reports state that five people have already been injured and given medical attention due to finger injuries caused by the chair in Finland, Germany, USA, Denmark and Australia.
The Swedish store wished everyone who has bought the sun chair to return to their Dublin store for a full refund.
"IKEA has now improved the design to further mitigate the risks of incorrect reassembly and injuries.''
