A lifelong dream come true for two old friends.
For almost 30 years these two women have dreamed of winning the Lotto together, and that dream became a reality this past weekend when they won the Match 5 plus bonus prize of €65,718 on Saturday.
Incredible.
One of the pair told BreakingNews.ie that,
"For almost 30 years we have dreamed of winning the Lotto together so it's great to be finally here in the winners’ room. It’s not the jackpot prize but it’s the next best thing. We've been playing Lotto religiously together for nearly three decades and we've always dreamed about winning a top price.
The win is made that much sweeter knowing that I’ve won with my best friend."
The excited duo said that they plan to share their winnings with friends and family.
What comes around goes around, eh?
"We will be dividing the win among children and grandchildren but we’ll make sure that we get some enjoyment out of it ourselves."
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased at Mannion’s Newsagent in Clondalkin, Dublin 22.
