While it might seem relatively calm out there right now, the weather is set to worsen as the day progresses due to the high winds and rain brought by Storm Abigail.
Met Éireann have issued an orange weather warning meaning the weather has the capacity to impact significantly on people in the affected areas, with the worst of it occurring this afternoon and early evening.

Windy today with southerly winds becoming very strong and gusty in most places, and reaching gale force strength on exposed coasts. Rain in the west will spread to all areas by early afternoon with some heavy falls in places. A clearance to scattered showers, some heavy and possibly thundery, will follow later in the afternoon.

So basically if you’re still at home, don’t leave the house.
And if you’re already out and about, don’t try to use a brollie later because both it, and you, could get blown away.
