More puppies have just been seized by Revenue officers at Dublin Port.

According to Revenue, the little of pups were neither micro-chipped nor had pet passports – as is legally required when travelling to the UK.

The incident occurred following a questioning of two Irish people aboard.

They were travelling to the UK, and did not have pet passports for the puppies.

The DSPCA has since taken the dogs into their care, and they are now receiving veterinary attention.

Anyone with information about smuggling is encouraged to report it to Revenue’s Confidential Freephone line at 1800-295-295.
