Ah, we’re only messing with ya, bud. Seriously though, where would we be without our iconic Dublin catchphrases? The local lingo is a big part of city life and has captivated and confused visitors in equal measure for generations.
There are now plans in place to celebrate the dialect of the capital as Dublin City Council teams up with The Temple Bar Company to create a mural in the popular tourist area of town.
The piece will be the work of painter Vanessa Power whose work you might recognise from walls and shopfronts around the city.
Those involved in the upcoming project are looking for suggestions about which Dublin phrases to use so if you have any ideas you can submit them here, ye bleedin’ spanners.
