Houses in Balcurris, Ballymun were evacuated last night following the second bomb scare in less than 24 hours in the area.

Last night's incident was similar to that of an incident that occurred early yesterday morning at Shangan Green, Ballymun where a suspected pipe bomb was discovered.

The houses were evacuated last night and the area was sealed off, but it was later revealed to be a hoax, as was the one in Shangan Green.

Residents were reportedly left terrified.
