The Opticians, formerly known as Molly & Dowling have just opened a brand new shop in Temple Bar at Crow Street. Completely Irish owned, The Opticians’ first shop, which is nestled in a basement on Kildare Street, opened in March 2012.
Hailed as one of the top specialist shops in Ireland by the Irish Times in 2014, If you’re looking for cool original frames, it’s the only place to go in Dublin. Colm Molloy and Jed Dowling, the owners, frequently going on buying trips to the likes of London, Paris and Milan to purchase stunning vintage, contemporary and designer frames.
Their second store, which opened on Saturday, is located at number 6 Crow Street in Temple Bar, and the place looks absolutely amazing.
Chatting to Colm Molloy, co-owner of The Opticians, he had this to say about their business:
“We’re the best opticians we could imagine.”
