This doesn't happen a lot so if you're currently looking for somewhere, you could be just in luck.
We were doing a bit of apartment browsing and came across these two reasonably big and cheap single rooms in Dublin 6.
The rooms which are both going in houses in Rathmines are up for grabs for less than €400 at €365 and €385 respectively.
The first bed is in a three-bed apartment in Richmond Hill and is available from October 10.
The ad reads, "The room is small (box room) and therefore only suitable for one person. The apartment is very close to the city centre but bus routes also nearby.
"The apartment has a bright modern kitchen with plenty of cabinet space, a combined living and dining room, entrance hall, bathroom and the three bed rooms.
"There is a gated area for bikes and also a parking space. Aldi and Lidl are less than 5 minutes walk away, along with all the amenities of Rathmines."
The deposit is €400 and the rent is €365 and the electricity is around 40 and the internet is €20.
The second room is in 80 Rathmines Road upper.
This one says, "We are looking for someone to move in our lovely house for the 14th of October. The house is occupied by 3 girls and 1 boy, and we are all in our mid-twenties.
"We are all very friendly and outgoing. We like hanging out and keeping a nice chilled out vibe. Also we are all working and we would like to find someone similar and to stay long term :) I'm sorry but we are not looking for students."
"The room is located and the main Rathmines Road. It's a big single bed, with wardrobe, desk and everything you need around like supermarkets and whatever."
