There’s something so great about a pub that also happens to have a bangin’ brunch menu… You needn’t ever be too far from the bar, yet there’s endless food options for all your hungover needs.
The Back Page in Phisborough is part of the Bodytonic fam, and a firm favourite of mine. It’s got games rooms, couches, multiple screens showing all the match coverage as well as a gorgeous back garden (which is simply heavenly when the sun is shining!)
They’ve always done food in the form of pizza by The Big Blue Bus crew, but recently they have launched an insanely good brunch menu.
Feast your eyes on these beauties…
So, what are the heavyweights on the new menu? Well…
~Brekkie pizza: tomato, mozzarella, baby spinach, fresh tomatoes, smoked pancetta and organic free range eggserved with a side tomato relish
~Pizza dog: a hot dog wrapped in freshly baked pizza dough
~Augustus Pablo: poached egg, baby spinach goat’s cheese, chorizo, spicy jalapeno jam on homemade sourdough bread
Oh, and did I mention that they make everything fresh themselves including all the bread, paninis and their tumeric dough?
And that’s just the beginning as the team will be tweaking the menu over the coming weeks based on how they get on this weekend.
Craving a pizza dog all of a sudden? Get your ass to The Back Page!
Brunch is served from 10am – 3pm both Saturday and Sunday, with the bar opening at midday.
