Well-known Dublin pub Ned’s Of Townshend Street might be demolished to make way for a new development.
Irish investment group Tetrarch has lodged a planning application with Dublin City Council for a €65 million project that would involve the construction of a eight-storey budget hotel, an aparthotel, 21 apartments and a restaurant.
According to Irishtimes.com, the major project would occupy a 0.4 hectare site within Moss Street, Gloucester Street South and Townsend Street — and it would require the destruction of buildings in the area, such as Ned’s pub.

If planning permission is granted, construction is expected to commence next year for completion in 2020.
