This Exciting Dumpling Pop-Up Is Exactly What Dublin Is Missing

Alana Laverty

Life without dumplings would not be worth living, in our personal opinion.

Little, heaven-sent parcels of deliciousness packed with flavour.

Once you eat one, you’ll want another, and another, and another.

And while a few gyoza here and a bitta won ton there can satisfy our craving – a dumpling shaped hole remains in our lives.

That’s why we’re welcoming this pop-up to Dublin with open arms.

Behold, The Lucky Tortoise

What: The Lucky Tortoise Dumpling Company AKA dim sum for days AKA our dumpling angels

Where: The Hill pub in Ranelagh

When: launches this Sunday, February 26 and returns every Sunday thereafter

Time: from 5pm until 10pm

To book: email [email protected] (yes, .co not .com)

Booking is strongly recommended as the masses are sure to descend.

The Lucky Tortoise will also be launching at Eatyard beside the Bernard Shaw from March onwards.

Expect dumplings, soups, siu mai, potstickers, puffs and egg rollssssss.

The Lucky Tortoise is happy to accommodate large groups in The Hill, and if you’re the mood for trying a lil bit of everything, it’s only €30 to try the whole menu.

Which is a lot of food, as seen below.

There’ll be seating saved for walk-ins – but book if you want to be sure to be sure. If you don’t mind mind waiting for a table or eating at the bar then just pop along on Sunday.

Sounds bleedin‘ unreal.

Brb going to eat my bodyweight in dumplings.
