Two men and a teenager have been arrested by Gardaí in South Dublin in connection with an aggravated burglary that happened in early May.
The attack happened in County Tipperary on May 7th, when a 94-year-old man was hit with his own walking stick during a break into he and his wife’s Roscrea home.
The elderly pair were traumatised when thieves broke into the home via a side window and stole quantities of money.
According to 98FM, the 94-year-old, who was suffering from head injuries, was taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital in Portlaoise.
Gardaí also arrested a 28-year-old man in Sallynoggin on Monday and both a 17-year-old male and a 34-year-old man in Dun Laoghaire yesterday.
Gardai are currently amidst investigation checking to see if those arrested are linked to a roaming burglary gang.
