Hair removal is not for everybody.
But if you do choose to, there are so many options – shaving, threading, sugaring, laser, epilating and, of course, waxing. There’s something for everyone.
I would highly recommend waxing. As long as you’re going to the right places.
Once you wax you’ll never go back to shaving. It’s painful the first time but you honestly get used to it and will be amazed by how slowly the hair grows back.
Obviously it’s different for everyone but here are a few great salons in and around Dublin if you’re looking for some superb waxing work.
1. Wax in the City
They have two locations, one on South William Street and the other on Upper Liffey Street.
The biggest pro about Wax in the City is that you don’t need an appointment. It’s a walk-in waxing service – so handy.
No frills here. Just straight up waxing.
Not overly ‘spensive either. €15 for under arm, €39 for a full leg and €38 for a Brazilian Hollywood.
2. Neelu
Slightly more expensive but always a great experience, Neelu in Arnotts have over 25 years experience – and they 100% know what they’re doing.
They pride themselves on providing non-invasive treatments only. And they use a disposable waxing method which is as hygienic as it gets.
A Brazilian wax is €45 and a full leg is €36.
3. Late Night Beauty Salon
These gals are amazingggggg.
The salon stays open ’til 10pm, and they go above and beyond in everything they offer.
You can get a pair of services for €49 or pay for them individually. Feckin’ bargain.
Choose from Hollywood wax, full leg wax, a facial, an eye tinting and waxing trio, a back massage or a spray tan – two from the bundle for €49. Unreal.
They’ve one salon in Temple Bar and the other on Pembroke Street Upper.
4. Brazilia
These guys pride themselves on their phenomenal waxing services, comfort and customer service.
And I’ve never been disappointed.
They have salons in both Sandyford and on South William Street and offer a wide range of combo offers.
5. Urbana
Urbana offer both waxing and laser. So you do have the choice.
Waxing, being the cheaper option, is a win-win for me.
They offer painless, well as least painful as it’s gonna get, waxing using protective oils. They are on the pricier side of things but you won’t leave unsatisfied.
As always, if you know of a brill salon to get waxing done, leave it in the comments.
