Scratching your head as to where to devour brunch tomorrow?
Looking for something a lil different to your weekly eggs benny?
Well, look no further, my dear friend.
Because tomorrow you're hitting up The Lucky Tortoise dim sum pop-up in The Hill, Ranelagh which is now open all day, from brunch at 12.30pm until after dinner 10pm for the foreseeable future.
We told you all about this pop-up a few weeks ago....
And have since tried it, and can say that it is some of the best food on offer in Dublin right now.
You can try the entire menu of dumplings, wings, potstickers, siu mai and korokke for €25 which is brill value.
That includes starters, mains, sides and delish dipping sauces.
And if your hungover soul is still hungry after all that, you can get a 'reload' of dumplings for a tenner!
As far as dining experiences go, it's a unique but delicious one.
The Hill Pub in Ranelagh are kindly lending half the pub to The Lucky Tortoise crew on Sundays, and it works surprisingly well. The staff are all lovely and happy to explain the menu jargon to guests.
The menu changes weekly, but here's an idea of what to expect:
Chicken wings in lucky sesame & honey glaze
A seriously strong contender for one of our 'Best Wings in Dublin' lists...
Fried and seasoned to perfection, with juicy meat falling off the bone.
Bok choy (so feckin' tasty, I'm tellin' ya) & Kimchi
And other tasty bites:
From crispy chicken 'pillows' and tempura courgette to Korean rice cakes and laksa prawn and scallop siu mai...
And as for drinks...
The Hill/Lucky Tortoise crew offer a range of gin cocktails and beers to compliment the dim sum menu.
Jugs of these cocktails will now be available, as well as pitchers of craft beer for €17.50, including a coconut porter <3
And that's not all...
Bottomless prosecco will be available with brunch <3
YES.
All yours for €19.50 — a boozy Sunday is on the cards, my friends.
Reserve a table by emailing eat@luckytortoise.co (yes, .conot .com).
We are also looking forward to seeing The Lucky Tortoise Dumpling Co. make an appearance at Eatyard sometime in the future.

Dublin is glutted with literary magazines. They’re ten a penny; if today’s penny is actually €15 each. In 2017 Justine Carbery wrote in The Irish Independent “literary journals proved to be constant stars in a fluctuating market. Ireland, with its rich history of independent literary magazines, finds itself in rude health today with many new […]
