There's something about watching the world go by that's just fascinating.
If you have a bit of gawking fetish, then you're surely drawn to the places where you watch people of all shapes and sizes pass you by, so you can ponder what they're doing with their day.
Here are some of the very best places in the city to indulge that habit.
At the corner of Parliament Street and Wellington Quay near Grattan Bridge, this underrated little gem gives you the perfect vantage point to watch Dubliners go about their business.
They've also got a wide selection of teas and treats to sustain you while you stare.
You'll come here because it's one of the best chicken joints in town, but you'll stay for those sweet, sweet window seats.
Gaze upon the teeming masses of Dame Street while you stuff your face with a drumstick, like the creep you truly are.
There's a zen-like state of mind that comes with looking at people just strolling down the road. You become mesmerised by them.
So, after a long, hard day at work, when you all you want is to zone out and just treat yourself, this Boojum on Abbey Street can work wonders.
Sometimes peeping on your average citizen just isn't enough, you want to see some celebrities!
Or well-known people at least. Well, politicians.
Situated right across the road from Leinster House, this cosy little café is where you sit if you want to see TDs pass back and forth all day long.
Grab yourself a bench and give yourself a half an hour of enjoying the sea air, gorgeous views, and enjoy the sight of content humans milling about. Maybe even grab yourself a bag of chips.
Seems like a recipe for a delightful afternoon to us.
Sometimes though, you want to watch people of the more lively variety.
Outside Grogan's on a busy day, you'll see South William Street bursting with life. Overflowing with shoppers, buskers, tourists and mates out for pints, this is the kind of people watching that puts you in a mood for a night on the town.
Also, their ham and cheese toasties make the experience even better.
Perfect for a sunny day when you can spread out out on that green grass, soak up the rays and revel in being surrounded by humanity.
Note: the fun can be spoiled by one of the park's resident evil seagulls.
What better street to people watch on than O'Connell Street?
If you head upstairs in Beshoff's, you can look down upon our main street's pedestrians as you enjoy some of the best fish and chips in town.
If you've ever visited the food court at Stephen's Green Shopping Centre, then you'll have seen its brightly lit 400-seat area for customers.
You may have also noticed that it's prime gawker real estate.
If you grab yourself a window seat, you can see the top of Grafton Street, into the park, and you'll probably even get a free show from one of the busker's that's usually performing right in front of the building.
A voyeur's dream.
