If your idea of heaven is a luxurious afternoon tea in an Instagram worthy setting, then you need to check out the latest experience at Brown Thomas.
Fancy champagne brand Perrier-Jouët has just launched an exclusive 'Spring-Garden Afternoon Tea' at The Restaurant by Johnnie Cooke, and it's only available for the next two months – so you'll probably want to make a trip sooner rather than later.
The experience was inspired by the beauty of spring, and the gorgeous floral theme is delivered in every single detail.
An enchanting world has been created with magical tree sculptures that hold champagne glasses from their metallic vines, and of course lots and lots of pretty flowers.
An innovative and fresh menu has been created by chef Johnny Cooke, and includes savoury delights such as truffled chicken gougères, Jabugo ham with Lorenzini melon and Castletownbere crab crostini.
Sweet-tooths are spoiled with treats including chocolate frosted strawberries, a Spring garden chocolate marzipan hat and Luxardo cherry & Perrier-Jouët cheesecake.
The star of the afternoon tea if of course the Perrier Jouët Champagne, and you can choose between Grand Brut, Blason Rosé or the iconic Vintage Belle Époque, which is inspired by the 1900's Art Nouveu movement.
With every glass of champagne you'll receive your very own handmade origami flower as a pretty keepsake. Unfold the petals to uncover a bespoke spring message or a chance to win your very own bottle Vintage Belle Époque .
The Vintage Belle Époque bottle itself is beautifully designed with Japanese Anemone flowers, and we can even see ourselves keeping the glass bottle and using it a quirky single-stem flower vase at home.
The Perrier Jouët Spring Garden Champagne Afternoon Tea experience is available Monday to Sunday from 3-6pm priced from €45-€75 per person.
All bookings can be made through The Restaurant by Johnnie Cooke at Brown Thomas by telephoning (01) 6056701.

Once upon a time, matcha was a niche import for Japanophiles who owned swords and anime body pillows. Now it’s the emotional support beverage of choice for every Pilates-Ars*d, Sad Girl Lit-reading, Stanley Cup-hoarding, health-optimised submissive in Dublin. Us included. Is it the colour? The health benefits? The aesthetic? The way it makes you feel […]
Sheela-na-Gigs are carvings, mostly stone, mostly medieval, of women displaying their genitals. Part warning, part weapon, part wild feminine energy. We’re talking full squat, vulva wide, ribs showing, boobs drooping, face sometimes skull-like. In a country where women’s bodies were hidden, punished, and moralised for centuries, it’s wild that these figures not only existed but […]
