The Christmas lights have been turned on and are sparkling all over the city, the Brown Thomas and Arnotts Christmas window displays are bursting with colour, and the festive feel is well and truly setting in.
All that's missing? A little trip to a Christmas market... Fill up on local warming grub, treat yourself to some handcrafted decorations, and stroll around for a nice browse at all the lovely stalls.
Grab your wallet, a warm jacket and head to one of these top spots ASAP...
1. Christmas Fair – Newmarket Square
A Christmas market with a truly global feel to it. Use this opportunity to taste delicious Christmassy food, buy some handcrafted presents and be inspired by international Christmas vibes.
2. Dundrum Christmas Village - Dundrum
A magical and twinkling Christmas village with ice-skating, drinks stalls, Santa's grotto and more in Dundrum's Town Square.
3. Dun Laoghaire Christmas Market - Dun Laoghaire
The merry Christmas Market on the Metals will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from the 18th December, with festive fare, handcrafted gifts and decorations, a funfair with an old-world children’s carousel and a whole host of very special tempting treats.
4. Ha'Penny Christmas Market - The Grand Social
A cosy indoor market full to the brim of Christmas gifts, stocking fillers, Christmas party frocks and accessories, all under one roof. Lots of mulled wine too.
5. Christmas at Smithfield - Smithfield Square
This Sunday the 26th, Smithfield goes festive with a vintage carousel and an outdoor screening of the classic Christmas movie, The Snowman. There will also be market stalls with a range of delicious foods, arts and crafts.
6. Dublin Flea Christmas Market - The Point Square
There's over 130 traders here selling: second-hand, collectibles, curios, bric-a-brac, hand-made craft, art, Irish design, antiques, retro, vintage, furniture, clothes, books, music … genuinely unique stocking fillers and one off gift ideas.
7. MART Market - Rathmines Old Fire Station
This market is something totally unique and is now entering its fifth year. Held in the fire station, it'll be host to vendors selling art, design, craft, knits, and jewellery.
8. Aprés Ski Christmas Village - CHQ
Mulled wine, beautiful handmade gifts and festive treats will be on offer at AprésDublin, supported by magical Christmas shows suitable for all the family, winter choir sing-a-long sessions and a rich variety of pop-up market stalls.
9. Spirit of Dublin Christmas Fair - Teeling Distillery
Festive cheer, fabulous gifts and tempting treats! It's the seasonal Spirit of Dublin Christmas Fair in the Teeling Distillery on Newmarket. Over 40 stalls to peruse with music and a Christmas tipple. From 10:30 – 5pm on the 9th December.
10. Craft & Design Fair - RDS Main Hall
One for the shopaholics, The Contemporary Craft & Design fair in the RDS has stalls from 500 designers, artists, and craftspeople, as well as a huge Christmas with over 100 artisan food producers.
11. Winter Funderland - RDS
Designed just like a traditional Christmas market,Winter Funderland has wooden chalets that creates a village atmosphere with all the sights and smells of the Continental Christmas.
Open daily from 14th December, and there's an ice-skating rink too.
