Irish pubs are known for their gas names and gasser inhabitants – but it's the Irish ex-pats who've flown the nest and set up shop half way across the world who taken gas name levels to new heights.
Thought The Hairy Lemon and The Bleeding Horse were public houses to write home about? Think again.
With a pub of its kind in Drimnagh, The Dog's Bollix in Auckland is a music venue, bar and eatery with all the delicious Irish trimmings - including the gas name.
It also seems to do a fiery Open Mic night every Tuesday with free pizza. If you're in the area.
Auckland pulls it out of the bag once more with Craggy Island's finest inhabitant lending his name to this watering hole.
Also includes Mrs Doyle doling out (quite forcefully) sandwiches and mugs of tea, and/or several crusty, drunken priests shouting and roaring profanities. Probably.
The sauciest of the bunch, The Randy Leprechaun is the Irish ex-pat's dream situated right in the heart of Alicante, Spain.
They also boast the Cork colours donning the tablecloths, their famous Bunratty sandwich with all the trimmings, and table quizzes on Thursday nights. Sure you wouldn't even know you've left home.
A simple name, but in no way a simple nature – The Bog Pub boasts some of the best cocktails and most delicious seafood Massachusetts has to offer.
Also has a sandbox for kids (or for those of you who have one too many of aforementioned famed cocktails).
Australia is just killing it in the pub name stakes at the minute. Brisbane's full of Irish bars, but The Muddy Farmer really does up the ante.
Whereas 'round these parts, an 'Irish Exit' is basically an excuse to fuck off without having to go to the effort of saying bye to everyone and cause a scene, The Irish Exit Bar is a whole other kettle of fish.

Run by Irish people (and yes, there are people named Paddy amongst them) this ex-pat pub is the dream to anyone who hails from Ireland, has been to Ireland, or wants to go to Ireland.
A Cuban/Irish bar with arguably the funniest name known to man.
Apparently locals have great craic with this one. When stressed out-of-townies ask where The Irish Embassy is, they direct them here so they can have a pint and chill the fuck out.
Their menus are also in the shape of huge Irish passports, and they serve modern Irish delicacies like Guinness pies and curry cheese chips.
Only to be matched by Tipsy McSway's in Georgia, Tipsy McStaggers profits both from our love of drinking and their use of stereotypes. Clever pricks.
Although only open six days a week? Soft.
Although this public house had to be closed down due to everyone confusing 'craic' with 'crack' (thicks) and people actually expecting Class A's on arrival.
It is now called The Woodman Corner. Bit of a downgrade.
