When it comes to Sundays, there's a good chance that a large number of people around the world will be fighting a hangover.
While you would typically go for brunch, a nice roast or some good coffee and eggs in Dublin, different cultures have different ways of tackling the problem.
Here are some of the very best from around the world. Given that it's Sunday night and we are pretty sure some of you will still be in the horrors, it might be time to pop out and pick up a few of these...
Plenty of fat, grease and big flavours to mop up the mess that was created the night before.
A pickled plum which is meant to heal all sorts of ailments, including that of the liver, which takes most of the hit.
While all parts of the UK and Ireland have a version of this we give the nod to our friends up North for the large variety of breads to mop up the sauces and booze form the night before.
A big hearty dish served with seafood (although meat and tofu versions are available). The sauce is fiery hot to help kickstart the day by jolting the stomach and head back to life.
Can't say it looks the most appetising, but the beef broth, congealed blood-like sausage and spices are all meant to do wonders.
A huge, hearty fish stew with broth that comes packed full of spices and lime to help chase away all the damage you did last night.
A spicy type of stew that contains seafood like mussels, clams and shrimp. Translated it means 'rising from the dead' and it can be applied to a number of dishes the morning after in South America.
This can often look disgusting, but the fermented milk drink has worked for Russians for generations. Lots of different varieties.
Often served on the streets of Turkey or from fast food joints this is a mixture of chopped tomatoes, spices and offal. Best to not ask what's in it.
A spicy soup that comes in many different forms. Usually has hot spicy elements and noodles and is served in most cities around the world these days.
A slow cooked stew that features lemon, spices and a cooking liquor that turns into the sauce. So tasty you'll forget just how bad you feel.
Ask an Aussie about their favourite food products and Vegemite will be right up there. The beauty of tiger toast is you can make it at home in minutes.
You could name tonnes of amazing hangover food to eat in the USA, but their spicy wings so loved all over the world have to come out on top.
Pickled fish which would make many feel sick just thinking about them, but the Germans reckon it cuts through the bad stuff in the stomach and gets you back on track again.
Another place leaning on pickled and fermented ways to help fight the booze. These are sausages and vegetables, but the worrying thing is they're often served with beer, so you could be off again.
Eggs that are gently poached in tomato cumin and other mildly spicy ingredients. Often served with bread for dipping, with the tomatoes helping to cut through the booze.
The Danish have a word (very similar to our phrase 'hair of the dog') that means the best way to get over a hangover is with another drink. Can't say it won't lead to more trouble, but hey, they could be right.
