17 Places To Watch The Superbowl In The City Centre

YES, we know it’s an American sport, and YES we know some of you think that the increased interest on these shores points to some massive decline in our native culture.

But we don’t care.

We’re all geared up for Superbowl 50 this Sunday night, and we love the fact that more and more places are now choosing to stick up the showdown on their big screens.

The showdown between the Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos kicks off at 11.30pm – and here are 17 places in Dublin where you can catch it.

1. Dtwo, Harcourt Street

Dtwo are hosting a Superbowl 50 Sunday party, boasting 11 massive screens and a whole load of entertainment.

2. McGowans, Phibsboro

McGowans are also hosting a Superbowl 50 Sunday with big screens, commentary, €3.50 drinks and they’re open until 1am. They’re taking reservations on (01) 8306606 – best to book ahead as this will definitely sell out.

3. McGrattans, Baggot Street

McGrattans have big screens and no cover charge all night. Winning combo.

4. Captain America’s, Grafton Street

Big screens and beer pitchers all night long.

5. McSorley’s, Ranelagh

McSorely’s are hosting a Superbowl Party Sunday until late, with three large HD projector screens plus 10 HD TV screens and hotdogs available all night. Sign us up.

6. Xico, Baggot Street

Xico is kicking off Super Sunday with the Six Nations at 3pm followed later by Super Bowl 50.

7. The Odeon, Harcourt Street

The Odeon is throwing a massive Super Bowl Party, hosted by the Dublin Rebels. Loads of giant screens, beers, tunes and finger food involved, obviously. There are just 50 tickets left and they are priced at €10, plus booking fee.

The pub with one of the best names in the city – and one of the longest-standing Superbowl venues – is also getting in on the action with a party of their very own. Free entry and food served until 1am.

14. Copper Face Jacks, Harcourt Street

Wouldn’t be like Coppers not to join in on the fun now would it? They have quite the party planned, with drinks promos, finger food and prizes to be won on the night.

15. Trinity Bar, Dame Street

One of the better gastro pubs in Dublin, Trinity Bar, has quite the night planned for Sunday.

With more than 40 screens in three different floors and the biggest ultra-HD Screen in Ireland (a 140-inch video wall), you’re sure not to miss a moment of the most highly anticipated game of the year thus far.
