Ever think to yourself: “I can’t believe I just paid €9.50 for that sandwich”?
Yep, us too. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We promise.
We’ve made a list of cheap and cheerful lunches that also don’t scrimp on taste. Try some of these out this week.
1. Paleo Flu Flighter Soup, Pablo Picante – €4.50
This is an unbelievable avocado and spicy chicken soup, which will fill you up forever and make you feel amazing.
For the students among you, and those of you who can pass as students, they also do a student deal of any torta for €5 (except the El Magnifico).
2. Spicy Chicken Focaccia, Panem – €4.80
Panem is a hidden gem of a place on Lower Ormond Street, which dishes out some truly cracking sambos at deadly prices.
????This one right here is a freshly baked focaccia bread filled with Irish chicken fillets, tomato and chilli sauce. Unreal.
3. Banh Mi Vietnam, Pho Hanoi – €5.50
This place has been getting all sorts of good reviews, and their Banh Mi is one of their bestselling dishes.
Made with homemade paté, grilled pork, steamed pork roll and salad garnish, this dish is as decadent as it is filling, and will leave your colleagues feeling jealous all the live-long day.
4. Buffet, D-One Bar & Brazilian Grill – €5/€6.95
This is the one for you if your eyes are bigger than your belly (guilty).
In here, you’ll get yourself free reign of the buffet for €6.95 with a small plate. If you have an in-date student card, the price is then knocked down to €5.
Gorge on, brethren.
5. Wrap, Blazing Salads – €3.90
Blazing Salads‘ falafel wholemeal wrap with Falafel, sprouts, shredded carrot, iceberg lettuce, balsamic with tahini/lemon dressing. There’s also a halloumi wrap on offer for the same price too. Unreal.
Their change every three days, but the specials board also changes every day and pulls out some unbelievable deals every time.
6. All day special, Star Pizza – €5
The most unbelievable deal for hungry, hungry pizza lovers. A fiver will get you 9″ pizza with two toppings, chips, dip and a can of your choice. Great stuff.
