Looking for somewhere to get hitched? Finding the whole thing a bit of a nightmare? Yes to both?
You're not alone my friend – it's a specific type of torture that will leave you more stressed than a Leaving Certificate student. And we don't want that.
Instead, we've done a little research into where are the best places around the county to tie the knot – and this week it's Roganstown Hotel and Country Club.
We've done a little digging, and here's what we've found...
1. It's 20 minutes outside the city
Located on the Naul Road in Swords, Roganstown is just a stone's throw away from the city centre.
And it's also super close to the airport, meaning that people travelling from abroad are just mere minutes away (there's a courtesy bus on offer that will collect and return you to the airport) upon landing.
Grand.
2. They have a one-wedding-per-day policy
Ensuring that your special day is yours and yours alone. And that you don't want to be sharing it with those randomers from across the way.
They understand that no two couples are the same, and are also keen to put all of their energy into one event – giving you peace of mind that everything has been sorted.
3. They have an on-site spa
Meaning that you can book to get hair, make-up, tan or massages done before the wedding without having to hire someone to come out to the venue to meet you – eliminating all chances of disaster, and making sure that you look the most stunning and least stressed you've ever looked.
4. The food is insane AND reasonable
Made fresh in their deadly restaurant, these are dishes you won't soon forget.
Their dining rooms are also wildly impressive, with high ceilings, an abundance of natural light, views of their beautiful grounds and their very own bar.
5. They cater to all kinds of ceremonies
Spiritual, humanist, Catholic or none of the above - Roganstown are ready and willing to cater to your every need. They welcome diversity and pride themselves on being able to provide anything you could possibly need.
6. The staff are a dream
The staff truly are the shining stars atop the tree that is Roganstown, with every review noting just how brilliant they are as people and how accommodating they are as workers. A credit to the industry.
7. The views are spectacular
Meaning also that the photographic opportunities are endless. The manor house is beautifully restored and one of the most romantic destinations in Dublin, as well as the seemingly endless grounds giving you the perfect backdrop for pictures that will last forever.

A Skort by Any Other Name On a humid afternoon this weekend at St Peregrine’s GAA Club Blanchardstown, west of Dublin, thirty camogie players took the field not in the sport’s traditional skorts, but in shorts. They weren’t in war paint or waving placards but they may as as well have been. The Kilkenny and […]

The once-reliable rail line is now making people late, miserable, and poor. For months now, regular passengers have faced delays, confusion, crowding, and rising fares. Remember 2007? Every Irish Leaving Cert oral exam was essentially a panic attack punctuated by shaky mentions of “cúlú eacnamaíochta.” Now, the discourse is back but 2025-ified. Instead of being pumped into us via well meaning language teachers, this time it is fuelled by TikTok sleuths dissecting every minor inconvenience as proof we’re already in […]
A survival guide for the tragically trendy now being bullied by signage. So. It’s sunny. You’ve got your tiny sunglasses on, your €17 graphic tee is cropped just enough to show the tattoo you got in a moment of heartbreak, and your Sambas have barely touched grass. You’ve done your civic duty and supported a […]
Waking up at 5AM is slightly more tolerable when there’s the Best Sunrise Views in Dublin and the opportunity to flex on main. There’s a specific kind of person who voluntarily wakes up at sunrise. They’re either spiritually awakened, deeply anxious, on a wellness bender, or just trying to feel something before the workday starts. […]
