A new study has just definitively proven what the top 10 most iconic songs of all time are, and we’re a bit surprised by a few of them.

Researchers at Goldsmiths University of London ran a vast amount of ‘all time best’ lists through analytical software to compare their key, BPM, sonic variance chord variety, lyrical content, and timbral variety.

As a result, they were able to compile a mathematically proven list of the greatest songs ever.
