Enda Kenny will be the one to turn on the Christmas lights in the north inner-city this year.
Yep, we know.
That area of the city in particular has been plagued by gangland-related criminality over the last few months, and Mr. Kenny has signalled his intention to reopen a local Garda station that has been closed for some time.
He visited a closed station on Fitzgibbon Street in the inner-city and met with Chief Superintendent Pat Leahy. The Government intends on reopening the city centre station.
He called it an iconic building and added:
It will be a very significant demonstration of the intention of government. It’s just a stone’s throw from the unfortunate incidents in the area.
Hope you get used to this face, because he’ll be kick-starting your silly season…
